MR. TACO,

Since its opening in 1979, Mr. Taco has kept its commitment to homemade sauces, no-lard refrieds made from pintos, and hearty Cal-Mex cuisine. My dinner partner exclaimed over the abundant chicken and pork in his pozole, a soup heavy on the hominy ($1.50). The shrimp fajitas ($7.50) were also generous, with more than enough shrimp to fill three large flour tortillas. One of my longstanding favorites is the chimichanga with red potatoes and cheese ($2.99) " I ordered it "supreme" with vegetarian chili on top (50 cents extra). Mr. Taco also has a full bar with the requisite margaritas and sombreros.
