JUNGLE 2 JUNGLE
Deep in the rainforest of the Amazon Jungle live a tribe of people so
primitive, they're just about the cutest folks you ever saw. After watching
them innocently ogle a cyberbabe on a portable computer, you'll want to take
one of these jungle men home. That's what Tim Allen does in John Pasquin's
stunningly awful Jungle 2 Jungle, which is based on the French film
Un Indien dans la ville.
Allen plays a selfish commodities trader who heads to the jungle to get a
divorce from his estranged anthropologist wife (JoBeth Williams). Much to his
surprise, Michael finds out that for the past 13 years Patricia has been
raising his son, Mimi-Siku (Sam Huntington). When the village's tribal leader
assigns Mimi the task of bringing home fire from the Statue of Liberty's torch,
father and son head to New York City (the other jungle!) for some wacky comic
misadventures that culminate with the duo saving Michael's business partner
Richard (Martin Short) from the Russian mafia. Now, if only Mimi would stop
peeing in the potted plants! At the Entertainment, Harbour Mall, Lincoln
Mall, Showcase Cinemas/North Attleboro, Starcase, Tri-Boro, Westerly, and
Woonsocket cinemas.
