SLATER MILL HISTORIC SITE

(725-8638), 67 Roosevelt Ave., Pawtucket. Museum tours begin Mon.-Fri. at 1 p.m., on Sate. at 10:30 a.m., 1 and 3 p.m., and on Sun. at 1 and 3 p.m. The Museum Shop is open Tues.-Sat. from 10 a.m.-5 p.m., and on Sun. from 1-5 p.m. Admission is $7 ($6 seniors, $5.50 ages 6-12).

Known as "The Birthplace of the American Industrial Revolution," the site houses textile machinery, a theater, galleries, and an education resource center.-- Through June 16: "Textil Nordestino: The Textiles and Art of Northeast Brazil."
