Thursday, February 19

The Station Fire One-Year Remembrance Service will begin at 7 p.m. at Rhodes-on-the-Pawtuxet, 60 Rhodes Place, Cranston. Victims’ family members are asked to bring non-returnable mementos or pictures of their loved ones. The items will be on display at the State House for 21 days, and then moved to the State Archives. Call 222-8290.

A benefit show will be held at Cats/KC’s Tap (530 Broadway, Pawtucket). Bands include Nocturnal Sun, Almost Speechless, Acclivity, Cold Crown, and Satyr of Slugworth. The 21-plus show starts at 8 p.m., and admission is $5. Call 722-0150.

A 28.5-hour radiothon, "94-HJYRemembers the Doctor," began today at 5:30 a.m. Listeners can request a song when they donate to the Doc Fund in memory of Mike Gonsalves, aka Dr. Metal, who died at the fire, and the Station Family Fund.

Friday, February 20

A memorial service will begin at 9:30 p.m. at the Station site on Cowesett Road in West Warwick. The public is invited to attend. Call the Station Fire Memorial Foundation at 232-2063 for details.

A benefit show will be held at the Bull Run Restaurant (215 Great Road, Shirley, Massachusetts. Performers include Simply Rod (a Rod Stewart tribute), Spread Eagle (an Eagles tribute band), DJStone (author of the Station song "Eddie"), and Mr. Breeze (a Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute). There will a 100-second silence at 11:05 p.m., the time the fire began, to honor the victims and survivors. Admission is $12 at the door. Call (978) 425-4311.

A benefit show to honor the memory of Skott Greene and all other victims and their families will take place at the Rocky Point Pub (1705 West Shore Road, Warwick). Bands include Fresh Crop and Train of Thought. The donation for the 21-plus show is $10. Call 739-9800.

Today and Saturday at the Decatur Lounge (18 Luongo Square, Providence). Ten percent of all sales will be donated to the Station Family Fund. Call 351-5492.

The "Request for Relief Weekend" will take place from 10 a.m. through Sunday at midnight on WKKB (100.3 FM). Listeners can request songs for donations of $10 or more.

Saturday, February 21
