The revered garage-punk label Crypt Records was home to the Oblivians, Teengenerate, and the New Bomb Turks during the ’90s but swore off new bands before the millennium to concentrate on reissues. So all eyes are on garageland slayers the Little Killers, the NYC trio who prompted Crypt to get back into the contemporary game. The Killers are at the Abbey Lounge (617-441-9631) in Somerville tonight (Thursday, July 10) as guests of Mr. Airplane Man’s month-long residency. Blues punks the Horrors play with the Airplanes at the Abbey next Thursday, July 17, but not before stopping at the Met Café (401-861-2142) in Providence on Sunday and at the Middle East (617-864-EAST) in Cambridge on Wednesday with the Dirtbombs and the Kills.

The rest of the week belongs to classic rock. The Eagles begin their "Farewell I Tour" — which at the very least would appear to guarantee a "Farewell II" tour — with three nights at the FleetCenter (617-931-2000) in Boston on Tuesday, Wednesday, and next Friday. They’re no doubt taking a cue from Cher, whose endless farewell tour revisits the Worcester Centrum (617-931-2000) on Saturday, the Cumberland County Civic Center (207-775-3458) in Portland on Monday, and the Verizon Arena (603-644-5000) in Manchester on July 19. Meanwhile, Cher’s ex-hubby Gregg Allman ushers a revamped Allman Brothers — whose new Hitting the Note (Sanctuary) is their first studio album in a decade, their biggest hit in 20 years, and is being hailed as nothing less than a creative comeback — into the Tweeter Center (617-931-2000) in Mansfield on Sunday.

The ’80s-metal package tour "Rock Never Stops" brings Warrant, Kip Winger, and Slaughter to the Verizon on Friday. Even without Steve Perry in tow, Journey’s fans just won’t stop believin’ — the band are back in arenas on a VH1-sponsored bill with Styx and REO Speedwagon that hits the Centrum on Friday and Meadows Music (203-265-1501) in Hartford on Sunday. And completing the early-days-of-MTV trifecta, Pat Benatar hits Meadowbrook Farm (603-293-4700) in Gilford, New Hampshire, on Saturday and FleetBoston Pavilion (617-931-2000) next Thursday, July 17.

Given her penchant for Nicolas Cage, is it any wonder that Lisa Marie Presley is on tour with the Elvis-worshipping Chris Isaak? The pair hit the FleetBoston Pavilion on Friday and the Cape Cod Melody Tent (508-775-9100) on Saturday; then Presley goes it alone at Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom (603-929-4100) in New Hampshire — in what appears to be her first-ever headlining appearance — on Tuesday. Meanwhile, that other Elvis guy brings the Attractions to the Pavilion on Saturday with former Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson. And if you don’t want to sit through the opener, Elvis Costello plays two rare club shows at 7 and 10 on Sunday at Lupo’s Heartbreak Hotel (401-272-5876) in Providence.
