HORTON'S SEAFOOD,

In honor of their golden year on Broadway, the Hortons have added five tables outside (to the 10 inside) on a covered wooden deck. They are also now smokefree, and have begun frying their seafood in cholesterol-free oil. Clam cakes ($1.75 for half a dozen) and chowder ($1.29) are a must ÑÊboth are straight-ahead versions of these New England staples. The award-winning fried clams are fresh and tasty, with a thin batter coating. But Horton's makes it easy to sample a variety of fried seafood with portions offered as "plates," "snacks" or, at lunch, in sandwiches.
